About The Position
As a Construction Project Manager, you will lead your build teams from the ground up - guiding your projects from blueprints to its completion with the ability to see the big picture, catch the little details, and collaborate throughout it all with your clients, contractors, and team members. Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential, and the ability to champion your team through evolving situations is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and understand project documents, estimates, and bids
- Manage proposals and contracts across projects
- Identify and manage cost drivers on projects
- Prepare and manage accurate timelines and schedules
- Track project costs and coordinate with sales and accounting
- Work with support staff to obtain necessary permitting
- Conduct pre-construction kick-off meetings
- Insure quality, safety, cleanliness, and site security on projects
- Provide clear communications and regular meetings with clients
- Track and report on progress, scope, costs, and customer satisfaction
Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or professional degree preferred, especially if in Construction Management or related field
- Experience in residential remodeling as a carpenter or other tradesperson in a similar field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years experience managing residential remodeling projects
- Works well under tight project deadlines
- Proficient computer skills to enable thorough documentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of residential construction methods, techniques, systems, and building codes
